Peter Goodwin教授,国际水利与环境工程学会(IAHR)现任主席,与河海大学具有广泛的合作与交流:2015年10月,曾应邀出席“河海大学建校100周年暨中国水利高等教育100年庆祝大会”,并代表IAHR对河海大学百年校庆表示祝贺;2016年6月,率团再次访问河海大学,与河海大学唐洪武教授等进行了深入而广泛的学术交流,期间参观水文水资源与水利工程科学国家重点实验室,作题为“美国的三角洲:加州萨克拉门托-圣华金三角洲与路易斯安那州密西西比河三角洲(Deltas of USA: Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta California and Mississippi River Delta Louisiana)”的学术报告,并就河海大学与IAHR的合作领域及合作规划展开了深入讨论,为双方日后的密切合作打下了良好的基础。
